is this true? i think i am screwed. i installed the most recent dotnet framework as part of installing some software and then i got a BSOD saying that there is a IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error. i can't even boot into safe mode and my dvd drive has been very finicky as well. i have a bootable thumbdrive but i don't see any option in the bios for it. help?

USB boot should work as long as you have the "SCSI subclass support" option enabled
in the BIOS USB advanced settings. The thumb drive will appear as a hard disk in the
boot menu. If it doesn't appear when hitting F12 at poweron, go into the BIOS boot
menu and hunt for it by expanding the Hard Disk boot selections. If it still doesn't
appear, check that it's truly bootable using another machine.

Tom.
